Job Summary:
Performs a variety of manual labor tasks related to the upkeep of county grounds and facilities during the peak summer season.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Landscaping: Assist with weeding, mulching, watering, and pruning trees and shrubs to maintain professional landscape appearance. Snow Removal
- Building Upkeep: Perform minor interior and exterior repairs, including painting, changing filters, and servicing lighting fixtures.
- Janitorial Tasks: Clean and sanitize public restrooms, shelters, and common areas; remove trash and debris from county property.
- Equipment Care: Clean and perform basic preventative maintenance on groundskeeping tools and vehicles.
Required Knowledge:
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Valid driver’s license for operating county vehicles.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, in high summer temperatures.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (mowers, weed eaters, snow blower etc.).
