Job Summary

Butler County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for full-time and part-time deputy positions. Applicants must be a US Citizen, be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, be of good moral character, have a valid driver's license, and be in good physical condition. Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Nebraska certification is preferred but not required. All applicants must pass a background check prior to an offer of employment. The Butler County Sheriff's Office is subject to Veterans Preference. Individuals claiming Veterans Preference must include a copy of DD214 with their application. Benefits may include uniform allowance, health insurance, vacation, and sick leave, take home patrol vehicle, and county retirement program. Butler County is an equal opportunity employer.

Pay range:

$27.31 - $35.64 per hour. Plus Pay Step Plan
